It has been so long since I've blogged I'ld be surprised if there are any readers. But...here's a go.

It is now only 2 weeks into January and I have to confess about New Year Resolutions. I made three.

1) I will mail out my bday cards in time. (note, I buy, stuff and address my cards in plenty of time for them to get there by the day....remembering them on the counter, buying stamps etc...eh,,,,not so much)

2) I want to get off of Dr. Pepper (my only friend at work).

3) I want to get my "GER" pronounced GRRRRR of my manager skills down.

Status as of January 13th

1) Today I showed a long time customer my xmas card for Jay and Family and Staceys bday card on my desk and told them about my resolution. They are a cute older couple he ran out to his car and put stamps on them, she wanted to hear Staceys card so, what the heck..we opened it and taped it back up as they laughed hysterically. Daddys card has been purchased and recorded, stuffed and addressed.....it is here at home. Now, Michaels I left at moms house over xmas........may have hope.

2) I substitued Pepper for cocoa and wassil. I know not a real improvement. Today, well I needed come nerves calmed so I walked to the pizza place by my work and did soooo love the comfort of my addiction.

3) I did grrrrr a little bit. But, still find myself a bit of a push over. I think my staff is a little surprised. My year is up in Feb. and my goal is to be in Nampa first week of June. I hope I don't get fired for numbers first and that the economy improves to open up some opportunities. Ok. I have to remain sane too. :)

Overall......yup I don't have to worry about breaking resolutions anymore. I'm all done. Which is ok because I normally don't set any. LOL OH! and I learned that if caps lock is on when I text I am yelling................lower case is normal...........there isnt a way to whisper or be delicate, appolgetic, sympathetic etc.

HMMMM. What else? Hailey is still playing ball. To make the team this year she is really going to need to show heart, aggression, and fight for it. Has skills but, is very comfortable playing supportive role and not making waves with a bunch of catty teenage girls. As you know, when she is sweet she is amazing and when she is unhappy....man she is mean and stubborn. Currently grounded for her mouthy mouth, refused to do homework or jobs and not even participating in morning prayer. She won't even let me touch her. LOL. Both of her grandparents here gave her a talking too in private after a blow up after ball games, which is not like them. Especially Cordell. Quiet, don't share emotion, opinion etc. The bishop pulled Corey in and then later Hailey expressing concerns heard about the people hanging out with etc. Things that make you go hmmmmmm. she would like her room done in tyedye and peace signs NO PINK for her bday in April.

Braydon is same old kid. LOL. He is going on his first ski trip with his school Thurs. night and being such a saver gave up his own money to buy ski pants. School is still a challenge..keeping his attention is a challenge UNLESS it is about animals, creating something and now his piano lessons he started in Dec. He is working on making his room an animal room. probably more of a safari theme. Oh, and he still wants to buy a real dog. He is my only really good saver.....which makes it tougher when you have to veto where the money goes.

Kallee just started all day kindergarten and $250/mos. and now we have to buy hot lunch. It is good for her to get more exposure. I'm grateful we only have 5 mos. left. We took back the WII, and the many games and accessories to pay for it at xmas and kept things more simple this year to compensate. She kinda sits on the sidelines and follows. But, she LOVES school raises her hand whether she knows the answer or not and plays pretend school morning and night. She is getting taller and is also getting bolder and holding her own with the other two. In fact sometimes I have to tell her to butt out. LOL. We re-did her room in tinkerbell (purples with the green accents) for her bday. She used all her bday money and her xmas money to get a new bedspread at WalMart, a pillow & the WALLIES (like vinyl clings for walls). She got a tinkerbell doll and a tinkerbell jewlery box for xmas too.

Corey, he is a trooper and holding down the fort. His company has announced decreasing the upper powers pay and consolidating a bunch of branches, oh and no raises (we've only gotten one in 7 years anyway) we don't have any branches close by....so, so far so good. He is amazing. He is the "dual control" and back up for a teeny bopper sunday school class.

We are excited for Stacey and crew to come play in April. We plan to be there Friday late night and leave Tues. late morning. Has anyone heard about Jay's plans or thoughts?

I thought about doing Z's room in T.B..since it's already purple, but she is still obsessed with princess.. I love tinker!! so cute..
I think a safari room for bradon is perfect!!!!

It looks like I need to catch up on whats going down with my lil miss sunshine. SHe is a good kid. We all just need to remember what we were like when we were that young. She'll be okay.. IF she ever needs to vent it out.. tell her to call me! I really hope she lets her self shine in B-ball and makes the team!!!!!

As a former Dr. Pepper addict, it's worth it to quite.
Are your renovations done at work?

Good luck with the whole teenage thing. Unfortunately, Doctor's have yet to find a cure for it. Don't worry though, I gave her really good advice last summer. "Hailey, you're going to screw up at times, just make sure those screw ups don't follow you into adult hood". I thought it was solid advice coming from an uncle.

Can't wait to see you guys in April. Lisa is graduating May 8th.
