I firmly believe that we have twins in this world. Today I met my grandmas twin. Serious, looks like, talks like, mannerisms and even.....the same wig. I know that I looked completely lost....I'm all by myself.....in a building I haven't ever been in and trying to follow directions and NOT stick out. Folks smiled, answered my questions and were nice but, Betty saw me quietly trying to maintain composure...immediately and resolutely she informed me that she was stickin' right next to me, helped me with every step, (including moving up in the line twice) and met me on the way out. This was my kind of take charge, genuine guidance and with a smile I found it very comforting. I am just amazed and wanted to drive home for a sleepover where I get to pick out my own cereal and just hang with my grandma.
I think I'm ready for some family time. I even sat in ponderment for a min. about just waltzing out of reality for a few days and either go wild or have a melt down with my sis., quiet time on the oregon coast would be nice, again thinking about a quiet take over of daddys cabin spot, road trip of church sites, the demolition part is pretty much over at the folks, hmmmm..cashing my diminishing 401k and maxing out my credit to take some time off and see what happens from there.......eh, haven't decided yet. My gut says something is gonna change but, I will have to be responsible and realistic. We'll see what personality prevails. I am more open minded and extremely indifferent....:) Please hold!
Now, I have to say that the bail out package and the financial industry chaos is very interesting. ....I'm not for bailing out the greedy and those who over extended and are unwilling to make changes or sacrifice for a "life style". Just in our little subdivision we have had a forclosure and 2 short sells. I'm afraid we may be heading for a world bank though....out of the top 10 only one is U.S. (Wells Fargo) others are german etc. With so many falling the feds can't regulate $ and households as before. (remember the First Security-Wells merger? A lot of folks accounts got sold to other banks i.e. ID and Bank of the West). What do you think the hot topics of conference will be? I don't think we'll hear anything new....debt, food storage, simplify, etc. Someday I'll be on track. :)
Wow. Talkative. Definately counts for at least 6 months of blogging........who said it all had to make sense??

Where were you to be to belost in a building?
You should let Grandma know, she would get a kick of her twin.
It looks like you are up for drastic measures for something.. I understand this. I was contemplating maxing out a credit card to fly all the girls out and stay in a 5 star hotel in chicago. and "live it up" for a weekend.. But only knowing it would be something I would be paying for til I die..
I too am a little anxious about our billions of dollars to bail us out.. So many changes would have to be made.. and would the goverment run everything from then on out? And could I even afford the taxes on it all? But what is the back lash if it doesn't go through? Foreclosure? eek.. I think it would be fair to say greedy americans etc. has gotten us into a pickle.
Stock up your food storage.. Stay away from all drastic purchases. Lay low, hang on tight.. we are in for a bumpy ride.
Family's rock! my door is always open for a good ( cheap) time!
Or we can all gather at grandma's with our box of cereal and a movie night.
I wish I could go home when I needed a family fix.( like now.)
Welcome back to the blogging circle, I've missed ya!
I don't like bailing out the investment banks, but what choice do we have? I don't like the Treasurey department asking for $700 billion from the taxpayers and then say they want it "no strings attached". It is reckless and smells corupt. If we bail out these instituions then I think we should see a return on our investment, and not just give it away. Mitt Romney would be the best to handle this, but that's water under the bridge.
So next week I have fall break starting Thursday, What are your plans next weekend? Maybe we could come up and say hey.
As far as the urge to be "drastic", just remember the rule of thumb I've tried to live by while feeling such urges, "Good times last but for a short while, Felony's last forever". Just keep it to a misdameanor and don't involve too much credit or family and you should be fine. Maybe you could get a nice tattoo?
- We love you guys
